David Montgomery
David Montgomery is a journalist and the host of The Siècle history podcast, about France’s overlooked century in between Napoleon and the First World War. After years listening to history podcasts, he decided to make one of his own during a brief stint of unemployment, and now finds himself drowning in books about France in the 1820s and 1830s, and loving every minute of it. He comes to Les Misérables through a somewhat backwards path: first researching the time period, then reading the book, and only then watching the musical.
