DESCRIPTION:I have recently published an illustrated guide setting out my research on over 30 locations in Paris quoted by Victor Hugo in Les Misérables, including the sites he gives for the Barricade, Javert’s suicide, the Cafe Musain, the Rue Plumet, the Maison Gorbeau and a number of others, plus sites associated with Hugo’s life and with the 1832 Rebellion. A new and greatly expanded edition of the guide is currently in preparation and I expect to publish it in the spring.\n
