This would be a quick review of that for folks who missed it before, and then a deeper dive into analyzing the changes and cuts that were actually made to the material, and how they compare to the editor’s stated intentions in the preface. (I’m a French-to-English translator, and this is a reworking of a research paper I did as part of my MA in Translation Studies, but I could easily either keep it more academic-leaning or make it more informal and fannish in tone; either way the content would be basically the same, but with slightly different ratios of translation theory to memes.)\n
